Dear Bittker Family
My brother Allan and I have such fond memories of your mother and father who made Bittker Catering into a Rochester tradition. Forget the postman who just had to deliver letters; BC purchased, prepared, delivered, set up, and served consistently exceptional meals in all kinds of weather! Today we call it comfort food! They were pioneers, hard working, and mensches.
It is good to see that Ruth had the good sense to step back 35 years to be the terrific mother and grandmother that she must have been.
Our best to Donald who was part of my brothers circle of friends.

From the Kantor family – Marty, Susan and Barbara
We are so sorry to hear the news about your mom. She was a very special lady and we have such warm memories of her over the many years they were in Florida. We spent many holidays with your parents and so many of them were spent around your mom’s dining room table. We always awaited her special key lime pie for desert.
Our parents always talked about the fun times and trips they made with your parents. They had so much fun in the North Carolina mountains and our dad raved about the freshly made popovers. We were lucky to also have your parents join us in Atlanta for many of our simchas.
It is so sad to see the passing of this generation of strong and driven women. We lost our mom, Arlene in May just after her 98th birthday and share in your sadness.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Fondly,
Barbara Grossman, Susan Coughtry and Marty Kantor

Dear Sue and Don,
As often said, Bittker Caterers were the best, premiere kosher caterers in Rochester. Your mother was always so gracious and accommodating. I will always remember her friendly demeanor. May her memory be a cherished blessing to you and your family. Our sincere condolences, Tamar & Elliot Fix

Sincere condolences of the padding of a wonderful LADY. I have such fond memories of Mrs Bitker playing Mah Jong with my Mother on Tuesday nights with Mrs Suckle and Mrs Fran Lederman. The last time I saw your Mom was in Wegmans, brought on the Jewish Home bus. May your memories bring you comfort during this difficult time.

Donald and family, I was so sorry to read of your mother's death. We go back a long way. She and your father catered my wedding in 1951. We spent many enjoyable hours together when we all lived in Boynton Beach. Sincerely, Rella Corris
