Obituary of Sheldon Phillips

Sheldon Phillips Passed away on January 8, 2013, 11 days shy of his 88th birthday. Predeceased by parents, Nathan & Sonia Phillips. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jean Zelomek; devoted daughters, Susan (David) Gorin, Sherry (Richard Margolis) Phillips, Arline (Sebastiano) Conigliaro & Lisa Phillips; beloved grandchildren, Jesse & Daniel Gorin & Samuel and Claudine Margolis; sister, Esther Apple; three nieces & three nephews. Sheldon had an illustrious career in scientific photography at the Eastman Kodak Co. He also had a long career of volunteerism at organizations including the Knights of Pythias, Hillside Children's Center, Meals on Wheels and the Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota, FL. He will be missed for his warm smile and delicious baked goods. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 11 AM in the Benjamin Goldstein Chapel of Temple B'rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Ave). Click here for directions to the temple.
