Growing up in the Gordon/Itkin family I was exposed to Sam and Issy as a kid. When Sam married Sylvia I was quite impressed with her personality and good looks. Recently my daughter Julie, via ancestry.com, connected with Sylvia through her daughter and I was pleased, although briefly, to have renewed contact. So sad to hear of her loss and wish the family my deepest condolences. Jerry Gordon

The Itkin and Cole families have shared many memories, beginning on Wimbledon Rd. and continuing to this day. Seeing Mrs. Itkin at Charbroil was always a treat and brought back so many of those memories.
The kindnesses she and Mr. Itkin showed our family over the years will never be forgotten. My deepest sympathies to Marilyn, Lisa and their families.

I'm so sorry. I knew Sylvia through my friend Phyllis Parker - we went to several JCC plays together. I always thought that Sylvia was a vibrant, full of life person and also very caring. What an amazing job she did at the Jewish Home for all those years! She was certainly a woman to be proud of and I was privileged know her if just for a short time.

Such a sweet and wonderful lady. I played bridge with her and walked with her on the track at Perinton Rec. Center.
I will miss her dearly.

Marilyn and Lisa (and everyone else, too)---- I still cannot believe this. We had a lovely time together at brunch during her birthday weekend just 6 weeks ago.....What do you say about a woman that you have known almost your whole life???? I will cherish all the memories of the past---fondly remembering all the good times on Wimbledon Road. May her memory be for a blessing...
