Ruth was a special person. When I was looking after the volunteer desk Ruth, although a substiute, said with her famous smile, that she would take the desk until the end of winter term. I loved for that as well as the monologue she gave at the last party. We send our condolences to Ed and his family.

We almost never saw Ruth without a big smile on her face and always headed somewhere at warp speed! The woman had a joie d'vivre that never quit! Being in her presence was like being in the middle of a ray of sunshine. We were devastated by the news of her illness and then her passing. Your loss is beyond calculation and so is Osher's. We will keep that ray of Ruth's sunshine with us in our hearts. Kathy & Mary

Ruth's great spirit filled the room. She went out of her way, every week, to check in with me about Tim's health. During my classes on the Rites of Passage, Ruth often offered insight and information, even though Ed was the class member and she was teaching another class at that time. What a remarkable woman! Her smile and warmth added to every chance meeting with her. I sat next to her at the winter social and we chatted about how things were going but Ruth never even mentioned that she was going to show us her talent. Oh, how I enjoyed that presentation - I will always remember it.
Ed, we are very sorry that you and your family have lost Ruth. I am sure that you will revel in all the wonderful memories of her spirit and find comfort. our thoughts and prayers ar with you.

We remember her warm smile, her jokes and laughter, talks of which one of her children was having a new baby or babies and trips to Israel. We knew her voice well as she would call to say, "This is your favorite person, guess what I just did!" She was right, she was one of our favorite people. We will greatly miss her and send our heart felt condolences to her wonderful husband, her children and her grandchildren. She spoke of all of you with great love and pride.
