Fannie was a great lady, who probably thought she was ordinary. She was a wonderful daughter and sister, who cared for both her mother and her sister Mary in old age and illness. She was always hospitable on the many Sunday visits by the noisy Berlove family.
When we grew up, she enjoyed our periodic visits with our children, She used her knitting and crocheting skill to make us things and also for the poor and the ill. She never felt sorry for herself and worked hard to cope and be independent as age and infirmity advanced. She loved to read. She adored her neices and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was commited to keeping kosher, preferring to become a vegetarian at the end of her life, rather than eat non-kosher meat.
