Please accept my condolences. My father , Hyman Kolko and your grandfather Isaac Cassorla , were very close friends and business neighbors on the corner of Ormond and Kelly. I spoke to your father last when he and Red and Joe made a shiva call as we sat for my brother Sam. My brother and Morris both went to the University of Pennsylvania at the same time. Your grandfather wanted Morris to stay in Rochester and help run the business. My father urged and convinces Ike to send him to Penn where wanted to acquire the same education as Sam Kolko.
Isaac and my father worked together to acquire religious articles to take to the Safe Haven refugee camp in Oswego N Y . The population there was a mix of Sephardic and Ashkenaz and the two friends , each , represented their respective communities,
Your aunt Ann worked at Kolko Paper company and I attended her wedding. My memories of that era are vivid and joyous, These were the people who made our country great.

Dear Lydia & Ed, My memories of Uncle Moe will always be those of "firsts". First to go in to the military, first to go to college, first to get the party started with a wonderfully told story, but most importantly always putting family FIRST.
Uncle Moe will certainly be missed by so many. Please accept my condolences on his passing. Take care - shabe
