Obituary of Ronni Arlene Abramovitz

Ronni Arlene Abramovitz (Waltzer) Ronni was born on July 8, 1945 in Syracuse, NY. Thru her life she touched the lives of all of those she met. She served the community, was instrumental in expanding the long-term care Ombudsman Program in Rochester & was loved & admired by her co-workers & the countless families she helped. Ronni lived her life with vigor & remained positive throughout adversities. She spent the last five years of her life as an advocate for people with ALS & their families. She was the recipient of the Carter Williams Award for Excellence in Aging for Long-Term Care Service from Lifespan & Ombudsman of the Year by NYS Ombudsman Assoc. Ronni is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Leslie B.; children, Amy (Mike) Brasley, Pam (Bill) Glatter & David (Alexis Kropp) Abramovitz; grandchildren, Natalie & Jacob Glatter, Ryan & Sarah Brasley; mother, Dorothy Waltzer; siblings, Sally (Harvey) Ullman, Cyrelle (Paul) Enders & Don (Debbie) Waltzer; many nieces, nephews & a community of friends. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 10 AM at Temple Sinai (363 Penfield Rd.). Click here for directions to the temple. Interment will be held privately in Syracuse, NY. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 PM at Temple Sinai & will continue Wednesday from 7-9 PM at 101 Tree Brook Dr. in Penfield. A minyan service will start at 6:45 PM.
