Obituary of Shirley T. Schnidman
Shirley T. Schnidman of Pembroke Pines, FL, was born on May 31, 1923 and passed away on November 16, 2013. She was pre-deceased by husband, Morris Schnidman; daughter, Rita Schnidman; son, John Schnidman; mother, Fannie Kaplan Caplin; father, Eli Caplin and step-mother Minnie Caplin; brother, Arthur Caplin. She is survived by sons, Frank Schnidman (Kim Liberty) and Howard Schnidman (Marilyn Schnidman); daughter, Judy Schnidman Katz (Eric Katz); grandchildren, Laurie Schnidman, Amy Schnidman, Katie Pelczar, Evan Schnidman, Jennifer Medbury, Allison Schnidman, Shoshanna Katz, Elishama Katz, Rivka Katz, and Shlomo Katz; great grandson, James Pelczar; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
Shirley was born in Rochester, New York and was a “snowbird” following her husband Morris’ death in 1988, coming to South Florida each year from December to March. Her son Frank had moved to neighboring Fort Lauderdale in 1987. She moved to Century Village in Pembroke Pines in October 2007 and enjoyed a truly active life for the next 6 years.
Funeral Services will be held on THURSDAY, November 21st at 11 AM at Temple Beth David, 3200 St. Paul Blvd. Click for a Map to Temple Interment will follow the services in Riverside Cemetery.
Shiva will be observed following the service (Thursday) and on Friday at the home of Bruce and Anne Goldin, 172 Fair Oaks Avenue, Brighton. Click for a Map to the house of Shiva
