Dear Paul, Eileen, and family,
Warren called us from Florida to give us the sad news of Beverly’s death. Until I was twelve years old, I lived across the street from Beverly and her family on Nye Park. Our most intimate time together was when Beverly, Eileen, and I shared my bed because their house was being renovated after a fire. Even though we moved about a mile away, we were together every Sunday afternoon with our other cousins at our grandparent’s house playing hide and seek in the hidden closet that led upstairs to our Aunt Sarah’s and Uncle Joe’s apartment. On Jewish holidays, we vied for the shiniest chestnuts from the tree out front.
Beverly was always one of those pleasant people with a lovely smile for all. We now live in California, but did enjoy our Rochester reunions and Simchas together. During the past few years we visited her in the Jewish Home whenever we were in Rochester and Paul was always at her side, a devoted and caring husband. We were very impressed by the Home’s encouragement of Beverly’s artistic talents and marveled at what she was able to accomplish.
Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to her adoring family who cherish the lovely memories they have of their grandmother who always put their needs ahead of hers.
Cousins Joyce and Hillard
