Obituary of Ethel Feldman

Ethel Feldman (Hamburg) Brighton: Passed away March 14, 2010 at age 90. Predeceased by husband, Isadore, & sisters Pearl, Dena, & Sylvia. Survived by her children Robert (Susan) Feldman & Joanne (John) Hergert; grandchildren Jacob, Carrie, David, (Megan Stoehr) & Elana (Cass Sapir); and many nieces & nephews. Graveside services are Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Britton Road Cemetery (Click for a Map to the Cemetery). The family also invites friends for coffee, cookies, and good memories at the Jewish Home from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. Ethel loved to listen to WXXI, where both she and Isadore were volunteers. Ethel’s legacy to her children and grandchildren includes a zest for life, a love of the outdoors – in winter as well as summer -- & an abiding sense of humor. Ethel loved people, especially children. She reveled in small things: whipped cream, french fries, jokes, & singing. Through her last day, she was alert, cared deeply about her friends and relatives, and could still laugh and sing. She died peacefully, with loved ones there singing to her.
