Obituary of Alfred Schneier
Alfred Scheiner
Passed away on November 9th at the age of 88. Predeceased by his wife, Joan; parents Alfred and Rose Schneier; sisters, Bernice Grant & Dorothy Rothschild. He is survived by his sons, Ronald (Nancy) Schneier, Scott (Lisa) Schneier & Larry Schneier; daughter, Robin (Charles) Pennington; step daughter, Toni Foley; three grandchildren, Michael DeCook, Daniel & Matthew Schneier; and two nieces, Nancy & Joan Grant.
Born in Montclair, New Jersey, in 1926, Alfred grew up in New Rochelle, New York, living there until 1959. He served in World War II, earning both the Purple Heart and the combat infantry badge. Started to work full time in the family dye casting business in 1950, taking control of the company in 1957, and moving the factory to Denville, New Jersey in 1959. From 1960 to his retirement in 1997, he served on various committees, including President of the Denville Free Public Library, Bank Director of Peoples National Bank, the Rotary Club, and active in Republican circles.
Memorial Services will be held on FRIDAY November 14th at The Legacy at Clover Blossom located at 100 Mcauley Drive, 14610, at 3:00 PM with a reception to follow. Click here for a map to the Memorial Service.
