Obituary of Ethel Saperstone

Ethel Saperstone (Whitcomb) Passed away on May 1, 2014 at age 102. She was predeceased by her husbands, William Whitcomb & Morris Saperstone; sisters, Ceal Braff, Mildred Forman & Jeanette Lebowitz. She is survived by her sons, Alan & Gerry (Laraine) Whitcomb; step-daughters, Trudy (Albert) Sheinfeld & Gloria (Ernie) Beren; 3 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, many step great-grandchildren; nieces, Judy (Rabbi Zev) Silber, Reba Simon, Judy (David) Rand, Lois (Colin) Lewis; nephews, Paul (Gail) Lebowitz & Jack Forman. Ethel was a life member of Hadassah and longtime member of Temple Beth El. She served for more than 25 years as a volunteer at the Jewish Home and volunteered extensively in the Rochester Public School system. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on SUNDAY, May 4th at 12 Noon at Mount Hope Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the main entrance to the cemetery at 11:45 AM.
