Obituary of Shirley Rosenthal

Passed away at home with her sister at her side on August 15, 2016. She was born, raised and educated in Rochester, New York, and was a snowbird for many years living in Delray Beach and Rochester, New York. She moved to Boynton Beach 3 years ago. She was an excellent golfer and volleyball player. She was celebrated as Athlete Of The Year by the Jewish Community Center of Rochester. An exhibit of her many trophies are proudly shown on her mantle. She was a dental hygienist and adored by all of her patients. Her great smile and stories of her global exploits entertained them. She had a myriad of friends in Florida and Rochester, and will be missed by all. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Rosenthal. Survived by her sister, Annette Grau; nephew, Jack (Helene) Snyder: niece, Jacqueline (Phil) Sherman; and several great nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held on FRIDAY at 11 AM in White Haven Memorial Park. Please meet at the main entrance. Donations may be made to The Jewish Community Center (1200 Edgewood Avenue, Rochester, New York 14618) or to a charity of one’s choice in Shirley’s memory.
