Obituary of Morris L. Konar
On February 26, 2012 at age 86. Predeceased by the love of his life Eugenia. Survived by loving children, Liz (Allan Osborne) Konar & Art (Lisa Larson) Konar; grandchildren, Adam (Jill) Chodak, Gabe (Patty) Chodak, Josh Larson-Konar & Dylan Larson-Konar; great-grandson, Isaac Chodak; brothers, Harry Konar & William (Sheila) Konar; nieces & nephews.
A man of profound resilience, generosity and great love, Morris survived the Holocaust and, in 1949, immigrated to the United States. With no money and unable to speak English he adapted to his new surroundings. Using his immense intellect, honesty, loyalty and strong sense of integrity; he began, with his brothers, a successful career as a businessman and solo career in real estate. His success in business enabled Morris to exude wonderful generosity upon his children and grandchildren. He found great joy in helping ensure his loved ones did not endure the same challenges he had.
Interment will be held privately. A memorial service will be observed, Thursday, 1 PM at Temple B'rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Ave.)
