Obituary of Robert Allen Fine

Born on June 14, 1948 and passed away on January 23, 2017. Predeceased by his parents, Helen & Julius Fine. Survived by his uncles, Dr. Paul & Harvey Fine; aunt, Geraldine Fine; many cousins & friends. Burdened by illness most of his adult life, Robert persevered. He worked at Unity Hospital for many years while attending Brockport State. He was an avid railroad fan, joining a group of fellow train watchers on many evenings. Robert was a friendly, outgoing person who was unable to reach his full potential during his life due to disabilities. However, in his passing, he thought to leave a meaningful legacy in the form of a professorship in neurology at the University of Rochester Medical Center to be named the Helen, Julius & Robert Fine Chair in Neurology. Special thanks to all the staff at the Jewish Home, his caregivers at Wolk Manor and his special friends, Ron Levy & Blanche Weltman. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11 AM at White Haven Memorial Park. Friends are asked to gather at the main entrance. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM at the Jewish Home. In memory of Robert, contributions may be made to Jewish Senior Life Foundation or a charity of your choice.
