Obituary of Peter R. Liebschutz

Peter R. Liebschutz Pittsford: Passed away April 23, 2009 at age 70. He was predeceased by his parents, Philip & Marjorie Liebschutz and sister, Marny Liebschutz. He is survived by his wife, Renee Liebschutz; step-children, Craig Serling, Joanne (Stephen) Fisher & Elizabeth Serling; grandchildren, Max & Ben Fisher; brothers, Rabbi Thomas (Marilyn) Liebschutz & John (Paula) Liebschutz; nieces and nephews, Philip Liebschutz, Ruth Rockaway, Joshua Liebschutz, Rachel (Andy) Davenport, Sarah Flanders Liebschutz & Charles Liebschutz; classmate & longtime friend, Dr. Michael (Abby) Wolk. Peter was a proud member of the Brighton High School Class of 1956, Colgate University Class of 1960 and Albany Law School Class of 1963. He was an Attorney at Liebschutz, Sutton and DeLeeuw and a Real estate Investor. He served with the US State Department in Vietnam from 1967-68. A prominent amateur golfer, Peter held championship titles at several country clubs and played in the 1997 US Senior Open. He was a two-time member of the US Macabbiah Golf Team and was a former President of the RDGA. Peter also played on a number of local amateur sports teams. The family would like to express its gratitude to Peter's loving caregivers and his many caring and supportive friends. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Main Sanctuary of Temple B'rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Avenue Click for a Map to Temple). Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. A period of mourning will be observed at 250 Alpine Dr., Pittsford (Click for a Map to the House of Mourning), Monday - Wednesday 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
