We are deeply saddened to learn of Sanna's passing. She was my friend and colleague for many years and she has been missed since retiring and moving to Florida. Her smile, encouraging ways and wisdom were a blessing to me and I shall be forever grateful that God and she chose to share them with me.
Marina, I still have such fond memories of our altogether too short time together and still remember fondly your lovely music at the Geneseo High School auditorium and the Eastman School. I pray that you might forever cherish the wonderful memories of your parents. While our time together is always too short, God always provides enough sweet memories to last a lifetime.
With Much Love,
Mike and Jane Garrett

Marina - I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I remember when I met her - she came with you to Columbia when you performed with the SC Philharmonic for the first time. You were not yet a professor at USC. I remember the two of you chatting in the car as I drove you somewhere - to a rehearsal, perhaps - and of course, I couldn't understand a word you were saying. But she appeared to be giving you advice! My thoughts will be with you during this difficult time. Please take care. -Much love, Rhonda
