Obituary of Abe A. Hersch

Abe A. Hersch January 18, 2013 at age 98, peacefully surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 70 years, Golde. Survived by his devoted children, Norene (Larry) Green, Suzanne (Max) Offenberger, Robert (Tammy) Hersch and Ellen (Bill) Duchano; grandchildren, Andrew (Natasha) Cohen, Nancy (Kevin) Lewand, Tifany (Erik) Pedersen, Dahlia (Craig) Swerdloff, Ilana Offenberger, Riana, Alayna & Hannah Isabel Hersch, Sarah & Ben Duchano; great grandchildren, Nathan, Zachary & Justin Cohen, Natalie, Joey & Jonny Lewand, Katelyn, Clara Gracie & Grady Pedersen, Riley & Henry Swerdloff. He will also be missed by many relatives, neighbors & friends. His amazing calm presence has touched everyone who knew him. He was an inspiration to all to be a better person, hard worker, honest and kind. Abe founded Royal Dry Cleaners in 1937 and built a successful business. He was a founding member of Temple Beth David and belonged to the Knights of Pythias. He loved to play golf and the camaraderie that goes with the game. Abe enjoyed sunshine and a good cigar. He engaged everyone with his natural wit and humor. His smart mind never left him. He is our hero. His gentle, kind way and giving spirit is his legacy. Interment will be held privately.
