Obituary of Herbert F. Ross

Herbert F. Ross Passed away on March 28, 2012 at age 80. He is survived by his loving family, wife Terri, children Michael Argaman (Kathleen Kern), Peter Ross (Lynda Loomis), Daryl Herlehy (Colin), and Steven Ross, grandchildren Aldo Argaman, Beth Argaman, David Argaman, Alyson Herlehy, Katharine Truesdale (Ken), three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many family and friends. Herb served his country with the U.S. Army in the Korean War, and then was active in the 98th Division of the Army Reserve, and other military organizations after he retired as Major. He volunteered for many civic organizations, including the Brighton Volunteer Fire Department where he was past President, The Boy Scouts, The Town of Brighton, and The New York State Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors where he became Monroe County and State President of the organization. Herb was twice President of the Brighton Chamber of Commerce. He received the Paul Harris Award from Rochester Rotary. He was a Life member of the Flower City Lodge of the FreeMasons, and the Shriners. Herb was also a 60 year volunteer and lifetime member of Temple B’rith Kodesh. Herb began a long and successful career at DAW Drug Company, a family owned business. He then worked at the Connecticut & Massachusetts Mutual Insurance Companies as an agent until he retired. Funeral Services will be held on Friday,March 30, 2012 at 11 AM in the Sanctuary of Temple B'rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Ave.) The family will receive friends Friday from 1-4 PM in the Adult Lounge of Temple B'rith Kodesh.
