Obituary of Ruth A. Levin

Ruth A. Levin (Olsan) Brighton: Our angel on earth joined the angels in heaven with G-d on December 21, 2008. Predeceased by her parents, and her devoted husband of 49 years, Harold. Our precious mother is survived by her two adoring sons, Melvin and Howard. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Bea Sadinsky; and loving nieces, Lisa and Susan. She is also survived by many dear friends. Ruth was very active in the Sisterhood and Board of the former Beth Joseph Center. She was an accomplished bridge player and a wonderful cook. She took great pride in providing her sons with wonderful home cooked meals and cakes. She placed her sons' needs before her own and was totally unselfish and pure. She also loved to read. For the past few months, Ruth resided at the Jewish Home of Rochester, and for the past few days, at the Hildebrandt Hospice House. Hildebrandt's staff provided her with loving care. There are no words to express Melvin's and Howard's love of their mother, and no words to express the depth of their loss. May G-d forever bless our precious mother. Those who wish may contribute to the Jewish Women's Organization, Hadassah, of which Ruth was a member, or to further research at the University of Rochester on treatment of congestive heart failure (see funeral home web page for further details). The family requests no home visitation. A Graveside Service will be held in Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 1 PM. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the main gate to the cemetery at 12:45 PM. Click here for directions to Mt. Hope Cemetery. Home Brighton, New York Birthplace Rochester, New York
