Obituary of Harvey M. Nusbaum
Passed away on January 13, 2018, at the age of 88. Predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Elaine Nusbaum. Survived by his devoted children, Charles (Jackie) Nusbaum, Alan Nusbaum and Anne (Raymond) Cherney; adored grandchildren, Andrew (Lori), Shoshana (z”l), Michael (Yu), Shira (Moshe), Ora, Devra (Shimon), Malka (Aaron), Adam, Yaelle, Avi and Batya; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Harvey was an accountant and recently retired. He worked with SCORE mentoring and guiding small businesses. He served as an officer at the Brighton Chamber of Commerce and was a founding member of Brighton Ambulance. Harvey was a lifetime Mason and was a past Master of The Flower City Lodge. He was a proud graduate of the University of Rochester. Harvey’s grandfather was a founding member of Beth Hakneses Hachodosh, where he also was a lifetime member. Harvey was an avid reader, master chess player and always on a quest for more knowledge.
Funeral Services will be held TODAY-SUNDAY January 14, 2018 at 2:30 PM in The Chapel of Brighton Memorial Chapel (3325 Winton Road South).
Interment, Britton Road Cemetery.
The family will sit Shiva thru Friday at 161 Fair Oaks Drive.
Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice in Harvey’s memory.
