Golden, Abe
December 24, 2006. Survived by his loving wife, Grace daughters, Elissa Werner (Chris), Judi Cohen (Milt) of Rochester & Jonathan Golden (Susan) of Akron, OH grandchildren, Rachel, Alexis, Joshua, Jordan, Arielle & Matthew.
Born in Boston, Abe served as a radio tech aboard a destroyer through the Pacific campaigns. He came to Rochester in 1949 to work as an engineer at Kodak, retiring in 1983 as superintendent of the Construction Division at Kodak Park. He served for 10 years on the Greece Central School Board, followed by 25 years on the Board of Rochester General Hospital.
Following his retirement from Kodak, he worked for many years as a volunteer with ESCOR offering engineering and construction help as well as plans to United Way Organizations and other non-profits.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM in the Chapel of Brighton Memorial Chapel (3325 Winton Rd S.) Family and friends are invited to share happy memories on Wednesday, 3-8 PM at 118 Palmerston Road in Brighton. Click For Map.
