Obituary of Marybette Smolen

Marybette Smolen (Gussow) Formerly of Rockville Centre, died Thursday, May 30th in Rochester, NY with her loving daughter by her side. Daughter of the late Lillian and Leonard Gussow. Predeceased by husband Norman and son Peter. Survived by daughter Susan Smolen Sawler of Rochester, Jonathan (Gina) Smolen of Atlanta, adored grandchildren Todd (Mary) Sawler, Katie Sawler, Spencer and Taylor Smolen, most loving and devoted sister Ellen Lister, and nieces Amy McPartlan and Beth Scrivano. Marybette, our beloved family matriarch was an independent woman who taught us lessons in courage, strength and resilience. Funeral services at Guttermans on Wednesday at 12 noon.
