Obituary of Phyllis R. Horowitz
11/10/31 - 6/27/17. Phyllis died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by husband Paul and parents Rhoda and Edgar Raz and brother Richard Raz. She is survived by her 4 loving children: Ken (Rose-Anne Moore) , Rob (Rhea Zweifler), Shari (John Morgan) & Debbie (Marty Hyman) and 5 grandsons: Jake, Sam and Eli Horowitz, and Doug and Matt Morgan. Phyllis leaves sister-in-law Mary Raz, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Phyllis was an elementary school teacher for several years after graduating from the U of R and then focused full-time on raising her family. She was a longtime member of Temple B'rith Kodesh and then Temple Sinai. The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Charlene Conners and her wonderful staff who treated Phyllis with kindness and top-notch care for over 2 decades. Thanks also to Caring Hearts at Home, U of R Home Care and Dr. Timothy Quill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis' name to the charity of your choice.
Services will be at the All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park located at 210 Marsh Road on FRIDAY June 30, 2017 at 10 AM and will be followed by a graveside service. Click here for a map to the cemetery.
