Obituary of Martin Alan Karch

Martin Alan Karch February 10,1948 to December 1, 2005, peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Survived by his loving wife, Sheryl His parents, Helen and Oscar Karch Brothers, Dr. Gary (Roberta), Robert (Teri) Karch Niece and nephews Dr. Sheera (Dr. Jeffrey) Siegel, Matthew (Cheryl), Joshua and Aaron Great nieces, nephew & cousins Father-in-law, George A. Pieken and other relatives. Martin retired in June 2003 as an Educator and Director of Computer Services, for the Rush Henrietta Central School District. In 2002, Martin received the Leadership and Support Award through the School Administrators of New York State and recognition from the Henrietta Commerce Network for his vision and leadership in technology for the Rush Henrietta Central School District. He was an avid sailor, sailing instructor and a member of the Rochester Yacht Club since 1977. Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 12:30 PM in the Sanctuary of Temple B'rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Ave.) Interment White Haven Memorial Park. Following the funeral the family will receive friends, at the Summit at Brighton (2000 Summit Circle Dr.) from 3-5 PM. In lieu of flowers, Marty requested that donations be made to the American Red Cross Greater Rochester Chapter, PO Box 14390 Rochester, New York 14607 or The Rush Henrietta Education Foundation PO Box 777 Henrietta, New York 14467 in his memory.
