To Shirley and Family,
I am sorry to have just learned that Lou passed on. He and I leaned on each others shoulders as we trudged though Law School but somehow traveled our separate ways as we pursued our careers meeting only occasionally . Notwithstanding, I enjoyed his friendship and felt very close to him from our deep relationship while at school. I will always remember studying at the Grossman's apt. during exam time when Shirley would go off to Rochester so we would have no distractions. I also remember when Lou burst into my office to tell me he heard the Bar results and saw I had passed. We enjoyed a very serious lunch that day. Lou was a respected honorable person and it showed in his practice before the Bar. He constantly bested me because he had children and grandchildren before me and was willing to give some advice about that. Enid joins me in sending her condolences.

Shirley and family ~
I want to offer my sincere sympathy to all of you on the loss of Lou - a true mensch.
Upon moving to Rochester over 45 years ago he was the attorney we used to purchase our first home; over the years he always had time for conversation and his trademark smile. May your memories be a consolation to all of you as you move forward.
Love and hugs, Roberta Berson - Sarasota, FL

Good afternoon;
My brother Bernard and I have practiced law in this community for about 50 years, and Louis was a friend of ours. He was a most professional attorney, but a very soft spoken and friendly man. Louis always had a smile to greet you.
We were sorry to hear of his passing, and I'm sure this loving man will be sorely missed by family and friends.
He was one of the good guys.

Dear Shirley,
I'm so saddened to learn (from Marv Becker) of Lou's passing. In our huge BFHS class, the memories and faces of only a few remain fresh in my mind after all these years. Lou's and yours are certainly among them. My heartfelt condolences to you, your children, and grandchildren. Lou will be sorely missed.

I want t extend my sympathy to Shirley, kids and grandkids. Shirley, we have some wonderful memories over the years with our guys. Louie was great guy and I cherish the times we bickered, always with a smile! All the money we lost playing cards. Sam would go home saying "ya can't beat them" . You guys were good. Shirley you did a wonderful job being there for Lou. I am sure Sam Lou, Phil, Jerry, and the rest, too many to mention, are all together reminiscing of days gone by. Love them all. Love Bertie

Dear Shirley The roots of our friendship date back to Benjamin Franklin H S . The crowning moment for our relationship was having Dinner together with your wonderful family in 2013 as we celebrated Rosh Hashanah together at the Home. Brad and I were so happy to have had the opportunity to feel the warmth of your family at that very special moment in our lives.
You and Lou were always the "beautiful" couple. We will preserve in our memory the warmth of our friendship. May Lou's memory be for a blessing.
