Obituary of Phyllis Lippman

Phyllis Lippman (Harris) Passed away on June 26, 2014. Phyllis is predeceased by her beloved husband, James G. Lippman; parents, Morris and Ida Harris; sister, Mildred Burger. She will be greatly missed by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Alan Shaffer; adored granddaughters, Rebecca (Jeremy) Stelzner and Rabbi Dena Shaffer; great grandchildren, Lucas and Emerson Stelzner. Phyllis is also survived by her son, Wade (Suanne) Lippman; grandsons, David and Jared Lippman; brother, Harvey Harris; sister-in-law, Cynthia Tuzman; a nephew, many nieces and dear friends. Phyllis was born in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Ohio University. She met her husband Jim on a blind date, and after marrying they moved to Jamestown, NY to help run the family clothing store. In 1960, they moved to Rochester, NY. Phyllis and Jim traveled the world for their family business, Brainerd Manufacturing Co., and she helped him at trade shows throughout the country. Phyllis loved travel, good food and wine, decorating, boating, playing cards, reading and most of all, her family. Funeral Services will be held in the Benjamin Goldstein Chapel of Temple B’rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Avenue Click for a Map to Temple on MONDAY, June 30th at 10AM. Interment White Haven Memorial Park.
