Hello my family - I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Marlene -David and I loved her so much and she will be missed. I am sorry I could not attend, however I was in Florida for my sister's wedding when this all happened and actually got the e-mail from Cathy on her wedding day. I will be sending a donation to the charity of her choice but wanted you all to know how much we loved her, and that you are all in our hearts and prayers.

Sounds of love,
Visions of joy,
Everlasting memories,
These moments cannot fully explain intertwined beings,
Words of anger,
Looks of indifference,
Thoughts of disappointment,
All those are but glimpses of whom we are to one another,
Through those paths os sorrow, joy, anger, and love,
One thing always sustains,
US
The bonds may pull and stretch,
Nevertheless, forever remain unbroken.
You will always be in my heart sis

Marlene's Journey...
I have passed a mountain peak and my soul is soaring in the
Firmament of complete and unbound freedom;
I am far, far away, my companions, and the clouds are
Hiding the hills from my eyes.
The valleys are becoming flooded with an ocean of silence, and the
Hands of oblivion are engulfing the roads and the houses;
The prairies and fields are disappearing behind a white specter
That looks like the spring cloud, yellow as the candlelight
And red as the twilight.
The songs of the waves and the hymns of the streams
Are scattered, and the voices of the throngs reduced to silence;
And I can hear naught but the music of Eternity
In exact harmony with the spirit's desires.
I am cloaked in full whiteness;
I am in comfort; I am in peace.

After you leave, I will become a tree
Alone on a hillside, loving wind and sun,
Waiting for you to return home to me
Though centuries of lonely stars may run.
I'll grow tall and give lots of shade,
Sheltering birds and other bright-eyed things.
Pleased with all the progress that I've made,
I'll spread my leafy branches out like wings.
But oh! Every moment of every day
I'll miss you with the passion of the wind,
Gazing endlessly upon the way
That without you must empty, empty wind.

My dearest Auntie "M" has and will always have a special place in my heart. She will be greatly missed by me and my family. We are all very sadden by the loss of such a great woman. It will be very hard for us all to heal from such a loss and many will never completely heal but we all have such great memories and need to keep and share these memories to help us all to keep remembering the great life she lived and shared with so many. I think if I had to pick a role model about the hardships of life and turning them around into a happy and fulfilling life it would be my Auntie "M". She will be greatly missed and I send my deepest sympathy to Jeff, Eddie, Jayme, and my entire family. We can get through this together because we are FAMILY!!

Dear Jeff,
I was so very saddened to hear about Marlene's death. She was a woman who thoroughly enjoyed life with her laughter and her touch with the earth in her imaginative gardening. I vividly remember the "tour" she gave me on your sunny, summer wedding day, as she led me along her woodland paths and around to the pond.
Marlene's gentle compassion was always evident as she helped care for your Mom over many years. I know that you will miss her dearly. I send my heartfelt sympathy for your loss.

Sorry for your loss. For whatever reason I did not know Marlene in school, but I feel like I know her from all the nice things the other classmates have told me. I knew Cathy and Jean and through them I met Marlene. She was at the track a couple of times when we raced the ponies. She was always smiling and happy.
