My father, Manny Miller worked with Joe for many years at Star Supermarkets. Joe was an honorable man who I always respected. He was a true "mench," and a role model to us all. My sympathy goes out to the family, particulary to David and Sidney. I want to Benjamin Franklin High School with David and Sidney.

Dear Kate, Sheila and Family: Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved husband and father. He and my father worked together for many years and we only heard wonderful things about him. He lived a very full life and many people's lives have been enriched because of his goodness and good deeds. He really was a "mensch". I extend my sympathies to all the Goldstiens who were a very important part of my life growing up on Jewel street. There was always music in your home, warmth, love and respect. I remember Joe Goldstien as a man of integrity, strength and stability. I grew up admiring Katie and Joe as parent role models and considered them along with David Sidney and Sheila as friends of mine and my family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
