To the Gradinger Family,
We had the pleasure of learning and talking with Sandy on Thursday nights in Naples, when we attended the Great Decisions Group together for the past 2 years. The quiet strength of his spirit and personality, along with his always-ready grin and cogent, intelligent, even-handed comments added much to each meeting. He was always fully present - emotionally available for connection and conversation. We liked him very much and will miss him.
To you, his beloved family, we convey our deep empathy.
Sincerely,
Arline and Ron Kaplan

Dear Stephanie -- it's been quite a while, and I'm not sure if you remember me, but I'm Stanley Friedman's daughter. I have very fond memories of both you and Sandy.. You always came to all of the family events. I'm so very sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. He was a wonderful man and gave so much! I am sure this is a very difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Stephanie and family,
I was so sad to learn of Sandy's passing. My heartfelt condolences to you all. I had a lovely chat with him at services recently and we did a lot of reminiscing about the his years of special projects at TBK. What a full and meaningful life he led! The local and international communities benefited.
May all the wonderful memories you have of Sandy always be blessings for your family.
B'Shalom,
Eleanor Lewin

Oh Stephanie, I am SO sorry to hear you have lost your husband. A couple of years ago, I myself had the same sorrowfu experience. It will take time to recover, but you will find you do have the strength to go on without him.
Bruce was in the hospital, miserable, so sick he needed medication just so sleep. At last, he asked me to spend the night. He died in my arms. It was the worst time of my life.
Now you have experienced your worst day. Soon, though, you will give up the tears, and begin to remember only the good things, the good times you had together. One day, you will find, astonisingly, that you actually can freely laugh again.
My mother used to tell me that time is the great healer. Maddeningly, she was right about that (she was right about everything).
We were lucky, you and I, to have known -- and to have married -- such wonderful men. My heart is with you. You'll see: One day, everything will feel all right again. Hugs, Lois Brown.

Dear Stephanie,
My sincerest condolences to you and your family. Although in recent years I would only see Sandy once or twice a summer, he always made time to find out how I was doing and how my winter had passed. I am sure I was not alone in being treated this way. Sandy's love and interest in people always showed through and will continue to serve as an example for others.

What a kind and generous man, with a ready smile. Please except our sincere condolences.

Not knowing until recently of Sandy's illness we are still in shock from that as well
as his passing. Hank had known Sandy since they were teenagers and always
knew him as a warm and decent human being. His was certainly a life well
lived based on his efforts to help other people. How nice to be remembered
for that. Many will remember him for his athletic accomplishments but there
was so much more to him. Our love and sympathy to Stephanie
and the family.

We are greatly saddened at the death of our beloved cousin, Sandy Gradinger, who many years ago was a member of our wedding party and a warm presence in our family life. His devotion to the Jewish community's global issues and the civil rights of all Americans was remarkable.
Most human about Sandy was his lifetime interest in baseball at the minor league level of his home town team and the players and team competition of major league baseball.
We pray for God's comfort for Stephanie, his wife, his sister, Arleen, children, grand children and the extended family.
Richard and Myrna Brasie, Westwood, MA
