Obituary of Merle N. Hirsh

Merle N. Hirsh Passed away on March 10, 2016, at the age of 84. Predeceased by his parents, Jack and Sarah Hirsh; Merle's sister, Rosalind Rosenbloom; and his loving wife of 45 years, Velma Hirsh. Merle is survived by his partner of 25 years, Carolyn Barone; his devoted children, Jeff and Elizabeth Hirsh, Frank and Sandi Hirsh, Karen and Richard Kerbis, Adam Barone and Wendy Chan, Jody Hirsh and Denise LeVan and Kris Barone & Michelle Giglio; cherished grandchildren Leah, Alan, Emmett, Adam, Stephanie & Lucia; and great grandchildren Nathan & Myrah. Merle received his Ph.D. in Physics in 1958. He worked in a variety of industries and taught at several institutions. He was most proud of a program he helped create while teaching at RIT, at the American University in Kosovo. Services will be held at the Brighton Memorial Chapel located at 3325 Winton Road South on TUESDAY, MARCH 15, 2016 at 2 PM. Graveside Services to follow at Mt Hope Cemetery.
