Obituary of Julian Joseph Sugarman

Julian Joseph Sugarman, Esq. Passed away on July 14, 2013. He is predeceased by his parents, Samuel Sugarman and Julia Kaufman Sugarman, Esq. Julian was the beloved husband of Sonia Sugarman; devoted father of Todd (Pam) Sugarman, of Buffalo NY & Andrea (Chris) Paprocki, of Rochester; loving grandfather of Samantha, Rachel and Courtney Sugarman, Steven (Estelle) and Jordon Paprocki; great-grandfather of Noah Sugarman, Sara Olivyah Paprocki and Juliana Layla Paprocki. Julian had a creative and clever mind with a great sense of humor which his children and grandchildren found very entertaining. Al Jolson was his very favorite singer and he often pantomimed to those recordings while in high school. He attended the University of Buffalo, majoring in English and grew to love the works of Shakespeare, which he often quoted. As a teenager and while in college, he wrote plays. While in U.B. Law School, he assisted in writing very humorous plays for the annual Bar Review performances in which he also acted. His career as an attorney enabled him to help a great many people. He always put his most sincere efforts into aiding his clients as well as his family and friends. His reputation a keen understanding of the law, dependability and honesty was well known He was a member of the Erie County Bar Association and was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He was also in Who's Who in American Law. He was a member of Congregation Shir Shalom in Williamsville, New York.
