Obituary of Charles H. Green

Charles H. Green "Chuck" Passed away on June 22, 2014 at age 92. Predeceased by his parents, Jack & Isabelle (Epstein) Green. He is survived by his loving & devoted wife of 71 years, Ruth; children, Shelly Stoler & Michael Insalaco & Debi & Evan Mittman; grandchildren, Michael Stoler, Peter & Rachel Massa; Robert & Jennifer Massa, Tricia Mittman; great grandchildren, Brendan & Hunter. Charles served in the Army/Air Corp during WWII & was the former owner of Jack Green Men's Shop, which brought fashion to Rochester. He was the last surviving founding member of Temple Emanu-El. He was also a member of Temple B'rith Kodesh, Irondequoit & Midvale Country Clubs, Jay Lodge-Knights of Pythias & was a Master Mason in the Mason Fraternity. An avid golfer and tennis player but Charles true passion was skiing. The family would like to thank Marianne Slish, Anna Colon & the aides at JMS Home Care of Webster for their loving care & Brenda Norfleet, Emily Krohn & Joyce Vick of Lifetime Care for their kindness and compassion. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 11 AM at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends are asked to meet at the main gate. Click here for directions.
