I remember working in Brighton Town Hall one stressful day, and Marvin knocked on the door to my office asking for the "Department of Hugs." Thinking of him makes me smile and reminds me that he made the world a warmer and kinder place.

Marv was my law partner for many years. He was a joy to work with and to discuss many issues in the world not just the law. His business acuity and wit will long be missed.

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the death of Marvin.
I'm not sure why my disbelief is so strong but it is probably because I had just made plans for a week at Chautauqua and was thinking about Joan and Marvin. We always enjoyed so much our planned and or accidental meetings on the grounds. It was such an important part of our Chautauqua experience.
Marvin's warmth, intelligence, generosity and delightful sense of humor will be greatly missed.
My love and hugs to Joan and the children.
