I have fond memories of Edie from my childhood days in Rochester. I always remembered her dressed to the nines; flawless hair and makeup and more importantly, her wonderful heart and boundless energy. She made quite an impression on me. So sorry for your loss. Edie was a Beacon of light that people were drawn to because of her big Spirit. She would tell you like it is and then smile her beautiful smile. Leslie and I were best friends when we were younger and so we used to go into Edie's closet and try on her high heals and then pretend we were Edie. Leslie's house was like my 2nd home and so throughout my life, my sister Debby's and our mom's; times spent together with Edie, whether a meal, Cohoes or over the phone through the years was always "home" to us. Our hearts are forever imprinted with a storehouse of cherished memories that we will always draw from.
We love you all dearly and will continue to keep you all close in our prayers in the weeks and months to come. With our heartfelt sympathies and love always, the Falkoff Family

Auntie Edie was truly one-of-a-kind. A woman who I loved dearly, and I am grateful for the years I was able to spend with her. She taught me how to really be an individual and live a life you WANT to live. She has brought more smiles to my face and laughter to our family than I can even fully comprehend. Her life will live on through all of those who she knew. She had a larger than life personality which rubbed off on any one who came in contact with her. I know I speak for everyone who knew her that I will miss her every single day.

Throughout my years growing up in Rochester, Flo, Edie and Mike were a large presence in our lives. Our dad Maury was very close to all of the Garsensteins and we were so heartbroken to hear of Edie's passing. Our heartfelt sympathies to the entire family, especially Flo and the Sarachan brothers. We are thinking of you across the miles and wish we could be there to share stories about Edie. She was a shining star in everyone's lives and will surely be missed by all of us, including Linda, Dan and Maury.

The Silverman family extends the deepest sympathy for the untimely loss of Edie. We enjoyed many dinners out together and always saw Edie & Flo at the RPO Pops concerts, musicals and she never missed any great show. Edie was a fashion plate dressed to the nines always. We loved her style, her sense of humor and passion for life. We loved her joie de vivre and her spirit will live on.

We were so sorry to hear about Edie. She was so vibrant and full of life. My dad, Manny Colbert (Silverman) is Edie's cousin & also was saddened to hear about her passing. He said he remembers the day she was born! He said he was often over at her home in Rochester when they were young, and Edie was a good dancer & always very fashionable.

I am so incredibly sorry to hear of Edie's death. Right now, other than Flo, there are no women that I remember more fondly that go as far back as I can remember. The two of them were my most favorite of my parents' friends, and I will always remember their many kindnesses. My deepest condolences to all of her family. We shall not see her kind again. I wish you all strength at this difficult time.
