I have known Herb for over 35 years. He was always there when needed. eg. I was sitting Chiva for my father and he came to our daily minyan to help meet the quorum requirements, regardless of what others did.
He was a great help to me in the Masons.
Herb and Phyllis were great friends.

I fondly remember our Thanksgiving dinners together when the kids were young - with you and Herb and the girls, Paul and Cindy, Judy and Michael, Aunt Helen and Uncle Irwin. Herb was calm amid the chaos. He was always a steadying force. Please know that I am thinking of you, Debi and Susan. I am so sorry for your loss.

I remember with fondness my time at Phi Sig at Syracuse and Herb, my "big brother". Years later we met by happenstance at a Masonic Grand Lodge meeting in New York. We were each Masters of our Lodges the same year. My sincere condolences to Phyllis and the Hirsch Family.

MY HUSBAND ALBERT AND I WANT TO EXTEND OUR HEARTFELT SYMPATHIES TO PHYLLIS, DEBI, SUSAN AND TO THE ENTIRE FAMILY. I HAVE SUCH FOND MEMORIES OF MY COUSIN HERB AS A CHILD. HE WAS SUCH A DEVOTED SON TO HIS MOTHER STELLA, TO HIS FATHER DAN AND TO OUR GRANDMOTHER WHO TREASURED HIS FREQUENT VISITS. WE ARE INDEED GRATEFUL THAT HE WAS REWARDED FOR GOODNESS BY FINDING A LOVING AND DEDICATED LIFE PARTNER IN PHYLLIS. HER SUPPORT, LOVE AND WISDOM ADDED BOTH JOY AND QUALITY TO HERB'S LIFE. WE PRAY THAT SHE AND HER GIRLS WILL FIND SOME MEASURE OF COMFORT FROM FOND MEMORIES AND FROM THE KNOWLEDGE THAT THEY WERE SUCH A GREAT SOURCE OF PLEASURE AND NACHAS TO HIM.
SINCERELY,
COUSIN BRENDA
