Obituary of Evelyn Shear
Passed away on February 12, 2017 at age 100. Predeceased by her husband of 73 years, William Shear. She is survived by her loving family: children, Garrick (Terry Siden) Shear, Roxanne (Edwin) Schulman and Sheldon (Diane) Shear; grandchildren Seth (Christina), Jeremy (Celeste) Schulman, Risa (Patti) Schulman, Daniel (Natalia) Schulman, A.J. (Ryan) Shear and Maxwell Shear; 8 great-grandchildren, Sander, Michaela, Cleo, Blaise, Julia, Stella, Micah and Marco; her sister Lillian Marshall; and many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn loved bridge, golf, music, dancing, movies, theater, her homes, her pets, traveling, her friends and her family, but especially her husband, Bill, and her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
The family is especially grateful for the wonderful care she received from the staff at Tradition of the Palm Beaches and her two most loving aides, Demarys Merrero Monteagudo, and Carol Venero.
Funeral services will be held, SUNDAY at 10:30 AM at Temple Beth El at 139 Winton Road South.
Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
A period of mourning will be observed, SUNDAY 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Irondequoit Country Club at 4045 East Ave, Rochester, New York 14618.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn's memory may be directed to the Jewish Federation of Rochester or Temple Beth El.
