Obituary of Carol Passar Robinson
November 1, 2016 at the age of 78. Predeceased by her parents, Nathan & Esther (Florescue) Goodman; brother, George Goodman; sister, Saundra “Sunny” Braitman. Survived by her loving husband, Martin Robinson; daughter, Sheila (Larry Nagle) Robinson; son, Michael (Karri Ward) Robinson; sister, Blossom (Carl) Voldman; sisters-in-law, Ann Goodman & Roberta Helzner; many loved nieces, nephews, cousins & dear friends. Carol was a long time volunteer at The Jewish Home of Rochester in the Creative Arts Room.
The word “fighter” was most often used to describe Carol, as it was apparent to anyone who knew her well that she battled significant illness and health problems for much of her life. Despite these challenges, she maintained a remarkable optimism, had a zest for life, and worked impressively hard to keep herself well and fit, living each day to its fullest.
Carol loved her many years as a waitress at the Spring House, as well as her years as a volunteer at the Jewish Home. She loved getting together with family and with her best girlfriends, “The Lunch Bunch.” She was a selfless and generous person who believed in and regularly practiced "random acts of kindness" and "pay it forward” long before these phrases were common parlance.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 9:30 AM at Brighton Memorial Chapel, Inc. (3325 Winton Road S.). Interment, Stone Road Cemetery.
